Councillor Burns-Williamson Becomes Deputy Chair of the Association of Police Authorities

Cllr Mark Burns Williamson, the current Chair of West Yorkshire Police Authority has been appointed as Deputy Chair of the Association of Police Authorities (APA).

Following his election on Wednesday, Cllr Burns-Williamson said: "Having worked and contributed to the work of the Association of Police Authorities for many years, I now look forward to being part of the top team in representing and influencing policing at the very highest levels. I hope that I can bring my experience and skills to bear on shaping policing throughout England and Wales and I am proud to be given this opportunity by colleagues in other police authorities."
